Dr. Emily Southward Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care A graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, she completed her internship at University of Minnesota. After completing an emergency/critical care residency at the University of Missouri, she successfully completed the ACVECC exam to become a Diplomate (Board Certified Critical Care Specialist) of the ACVECC in 2008. She has published an article comparing methods of temperature evaluation in dogs during anesthesia. Her professional interests include acid/base and metabolic disorders, trauma, and anesthesia of critical patients. |

Dr. Joyce Lee A graduate of University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine, she completed her internship at ASEC. Prior to completing veterinary school, she pursued a Master of Science degree in Equine Behavior and Welfare. She recently completed a residency in emergency & critical care at ASEC. She has published an article on the behavior of horses while trailering. Her professional interests include endoscopy, fluid therapy and ventilation. |

Dr. Joanie Dolance A graduate of Texas A & M College of Veterinary Medicine, she completed her internship at ASEC. She then practiced emergency and critical care medicine in Wisconsin, before returning to ASEC as an ICU clinician. Currently, she is in the process of obtaining board certification with the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. Her professional interests include feline critical care, pain management and anesthesia of critical patients. |

Dr. Todd Horowitz A graduate of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, he completed his internship at ASEC following one year of private practice. Since then, he has remained on as an ICU clinician. His professional interests include emergency, critical care, and diabetes. |

Dr. Jeannette Yamamoto A graduate of the Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine, she completed her internship with the California Animal Hospital, Department of Surgery. She received the Don Low fellowship in emergency and critical care medicine in 2005-2006. Following the fellowship, she opened an emergency practice in Santa Clarita, before returning to ASEC. Her professional interests include critical care and exotics/small mammals. |
