Dr. Cathy Williams
Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, Specialist in Cardiology
A graduate of the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine, she completed her internship and a residency in Internal Medicine and Cardiology at California Animal Hospital, Department of Medicine. She successfully completed the ACVIM exams and the Cardiology specialty boards to become a Diplomate (Board Certified Cardiologist) of the ACVIM in the specialty of Cardiology. Following certification, she practiced at Western Nevada Veterinary Specialists in Carson City, Nevada, Veterinary Specialty Group in Pasadena, California, and Los Angeles Veterinary Specialists in West Hollywood, California, before joining ASEC. Dr. Williams is also a Clinical Associate Professor for Western University of Health Sciences and has published articles in the journal of the SCVMA. Her professional interests include minimally invasive interventional cardiology and medical management of complex cardiac cases.
Dr. Carley Saelinger
A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania in 2007, she then completed a one-year rotating internship at the University of Florida, followed by a cardiology internship and cardiology residency at the Louisiana State University from 2008-2012. She successfully completed the ACVIM exams and the Cardiology specialty boards to become a Diplomate (Board Certified Cardiologist) of the ACVIM in the specialty of Cardiology. Dr. Saelinger’s clinical interests include: medical and surgical treatment of arrhythmias: implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) placement, programming, and defibrillation; optimizing pacemaker programming for individual canine patients; and pathophysiology & treatment of arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC) of Boxers and English Bulldogs.
