Dr. Sue Downing Diplomate of the American College of Internal Medicine Specialist in Oncology A graduate of the Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine, she completed an internship in small animal medicine & surgery at Mesa Veterinary Hospital in Arizona. After completing a 3 year residency in comparative oncology at Purdue University, she successfully completed the ACVIM exams and the Oncology specialty boards to become a Diplomate (Board Certified Oncologist) of the ACVIM in the specialty of Oncology.Following certification, she worked for Veterinary Cancer Group, serving as Los Angeles Medical Director, before joining the Animal Surgical & Emergency Center. She is a charter member of the ACVIM Foundation and received recognition on the Veterinary Honor Role by the Morris Animal Foundation. Dr. Downing is also a manuscript reviewer for the Journal of Veterinary Internal Medicine, and she lectures on current topics about cancer to local veterinarians |
