A graduate of the Virginia-Maryland
Regional College of Veterinary Medicine,
he completed his internship and surgical
residency with our surgical department.
He is now a Diplomate (Board Certified
Surgeon) of the American College
of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS).

Phillip J. Gill

A graduate of the University
of Illinois College of Veterinary
Medicine, he completed his internship
and surgical residency with our surgical
department. He then successfully
completed the ACVS exams to become
a Diplomate (Board Certified Surgeon)
of the ACVS.

Mary Somerville
Diplomate of the American
College of Veterinary Surgeons
A graduate of the U.C. Davis School
of Veterinary Medicine, she served
as Director of the Emergency Pet
Clinic of South Bay, performing
emergency medical and critical
care for three years. She completed
her internship and surgical residency
with our surgical department. She
then successfully completed the
ACVS examinations to become a Diplomate
(Board Certified Surgeon) of the
ACVS. |

Erin Wilson
Staff Surgeon
A graduate of the UC Davis school
of Veterinary Medicine, she completed
her internship here, followed by
a 3 year ACVS residency in Veterinary
Surgery. She is now in the process
of preparing for her board certification
examinations. |

Dr.
Raviv Balfour
Diplomate of
the American College
of Veterinary Surgeons
A graduate of the University of Illinois
College of Veterinary Medicine, he
completed his internship with our surgical
department. After completing a 3-year
surgical residency at Tufts University
School of Veterinary Medicine he successfully
completed the ACVS exams to become
a Diplomate (Board Certified Surgeon)

Dr.
Jean Reichle
Dr. Reichle graduated from Ohio
State University College of Veterinary
Medicine, performed an Internship
at VCA West Los Angeles Animal
Hospital, and a Radiology Residency
and Master of Science degree at
Colorado State University. She
was a faculty member at the Ohio
State University (1997-2000). Prior
to joining the ASEC team, she was
the Medical Director of Animal
Imaging in Los Angeles. |

Dr.
Dan Polidoro
A graduate of the UC Davis School
of Veterinary Medicine, he completed
his internship here, and then spent
several years in private practice
and additionally in veterinary
research. He has now rejoined our
group, and is in the process of
completing ACVS residency training.

Andrew Cruikshank
A graduate of the University of
Tennessee, College of Veterinary
Medicine. He completed his internship
at the West Los Angeles Animal
Hospital, after which he worked
in private practice. He has joined
ASEC as a resident in Emergency
and Critical Care. |

Dr.
Kim Luce
A graduate of North Carolina
State College of Veterinary Medicine,
Dr. Luce has spent nine of her
twelve years as a veterinarian
in the practice of emergency medicine.
She came to ASEC from an emergency
practice in Maine, and spent the
three years prior to that as Medical
Director of a specialty/referral
and general practice office in
Maine. She is currently pursuing
certification in the American Board
of Veterinary Practitioners.

Dr.
Joanie Dolance
A graduate from Texas A & M
College of Veterinary Medicine,
and completed an internship at
ASEC. She then practiced emergency
and critical care medicine in Wisconsin,
before returning to ASEC as an
ICU clinician.

Dr.
Heather Timmermans
After graduation from a veterinary
school, Dr. Timmermans performed
an internship at ASEC's former
location, the California Animal
Hospital. She then spent several
years as an emergency and ICU clinician
in Tennessee, and has now rejoined
ASEC for advanced training as a
resident in emergency and critical
care.

Dr.
Joyce Lee
Dr. Lee grew up in West Los Angeles. She pursued a Master of Science degree in Equine Behavior and Welfare, before completing her DVM degree at the University of Wisconsin. Following an internship here at ASEC, she is completing a residency here in Emergency & Critical
Care. In her free time, she is
an avid surfing competitor.

A graduate of the Purdue University
School of Veterinary Medicine,
Dr. Thunberg completed a one-year
internship at ASEC, and is now
completing a three-year residency
in surgery.
