Our Emergency & Critical Care Department is now equipped to see most exotic species on a 24-hour basis.

We have pediatric incubators, oxygen supplementation, a specialized avian ICU cage and digital radiography (ideal for small patients).

ASEC also carries species-specific medications and diets to meet the proper nutritional and medical needs of your pet during their stay with us. Our technicians are trained in restraint/handing techniques for many exotic species, to minimize the stress involved in any hospital visit.

Once your pet is stable, we can advise you regarding transfer to your regular veterinarian for ongoing care. Please call prior to your visit to insure that we can accommodate your pet’s specific needs.

Please note that, for safety reasons, we cannot examine or treat primates, venomous reptiles, large cats (lions, tigers, etc.), bears, or other potentially hazardous species.
