OUR
SURGERY DEPARTMENT...
...is
the largest surgical group in Southern
California, in business for nearly
30 years. To become a board certified
surgeon requires many years of training.
After graduation from a veterinary
medical school, a one-year internship
must be completed followed by 3-4
years of training as specified by
the American College of Veterinary
Surgeons. Research
publications in national veterinary
journals must be written, after which
the rigorous specialty board examinations
must be passed. Only after completion
of all these steps, will the veterinarian
be designated a Diplomate (board
certified specialist) in surgery.
Our Hospital has five state-of-the-art
surgical suites, fully equipped with
the latest technology. Please see our "Services"
page for a detailed description of
our surgical capabilities.
